Court Precinct Photos – Gerard Baden Clay Trial 2014

** Updated  10/07/14  Latest photos on top

So I’ve taken some more photos from outside the court, including some photos of journalists reporting, as well as a time lapse, which some of you have seen.

It’s a personal choice that I’ve taken, not to photograph members of Allison’s family. I will however take some photos should they give a press conference after this trial finishes or if they choose to pose for the press.

  1. I must say I love the statue Gerry. I get the scales of justice. Even without knowing who that statue stands for, your pic encompasses the age and years of legal rule that stands for something…No coincidence, you nailed it…Captured the law in one pic.

  2. OW is looking like she hasn’t a good nights sleep since April 2012 .
Unless she owns up with truth about her subhuman brother , i hope she never gets that pleasure again .
And mum, isn’t looking bothered in the slightest .
Dad ? Well , he looks like he has a LOT on his mind ! And that he does .

  3. Great photos, Gerry!

I’m actually (selfishly) pleased you took a few pics of OW – I have the EXACT same purple jacket as her! I’ve had it for years and I’m so annoyed, as that was my favourite coat (with was being the operative word) until I saw those pics. Living on the GC is close enough to her to never wear it again and I’m seriously off to Lifeline or Vinnie’s today. She’s tainted it now! Lol. Besides, I don’t think I’ll be wearing purple for a very long time.

So thank you – because I’m now giving my coat to someone who needs it more than I do 😊 (still love the pics, though!)

  4. OW always looks a bit disgusted – disgusted at how the world around her can do this to her family, and disgusted at how everyone else falls short of her family’s standards of pious Christian morality.

  5. I’d say OW’s demeanour is more to do with her career in the Defence Forces.

They ‘cut to the chase’ a tad more than the average person and normally don’t have much time for Side Shows. Someone very close to me is the same and it’s sometimes mistaken for being a bit haughty when in fact it’s just being focussed on the task.

  6. Gerry, could you please (if you get the chance) take some more photos of the defence legal team. I’m confused as to how many people GBC has defending him and who is doing which job when it comes to his case. Also do they seem confident.

  7. Amazing pics, Gerry. Thank you!

I really appreciate you taking the time to take the photos at Kholo Creek – they are a great visual link for those not familiar with the area.

Sidenote: And yes – I did get rid of THAT jacket last Friday afternoon like I said I would! Lol.

    • Daydreamer you are too funny! I just had to read your above post to get what you were saying…..you poor love lol. Purple has seriously become my not so favourite colour and my bedroom is painted purple………no wonder I can’t sleep!!!

      • I’m glad you got a giggle, Millie. A purple bedroom you can’t quite take to Vinnie’s, though! Lol. A trip to Bunnings or Masters for you before Court again Monday, perhaps? ;)

  8. Thanks again Gerry for all you have shared :) Your photos and take on the days’ proceedings have given much to those of us who couldn’t be there. x

  9. Great pics GR! I especially like the statue of Themis, Greek goddess of justice. I found this information on the sculpture.
In Greek mythology, Themis was the daughter of Uranus and Gaia (Sky and Earth). Historically a goddess of order and assemblies, the word ‘themis’ has now come to mean ‘law’ in Greek, which explains the statue’s relevance to the operation of justice today. Themis is the work of Greek sculptor Maria I. Papaconstantinou. The bronze casting of the statue was taken from a mould of the original sculpture on the Greek island of Chios and transported complete to Australia.
