POLICE will take the unusual step of doing a leaflet drop as they try to solve the shooting death of a man earlier this year.
Saleh Dheibech, 51, died in hospital after he was shot outside his panel beating business in Mason Street, Campbellfield, on January 27.
Police believe Mr Dheibech and another man had an argument before the shooting happened.
The letterbox drop comes after Homicide Squad detectives set up an information caravan near the scene earlier this month.
Emergency services were called Mr Dheibech’s shop about 9.20pm on the night of his death after he contacted friends, who subsequently called police.
He was taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital, but died a short time later.
Earlier this year investigators also appealed for any witnesses or customers of B1 Smash Repairs to come forward.
